Staples vs. Paperclips

Sometimes I don’t want to think when I dress my child. I just want to get the job done. It’s hard enough to get her to stop playing with her doll/the dog/her hair to actually stand still long enough to put her clothes on, never mind actually spending some time over-thinking what she should wear. For those busy getting-ready moments, I would love to have a go-to piece that looks good with everything. Dare I ask too much to have it actually be one of her favorite pieces because it feels so good to wear.

For just day-to-day activities (read: tumble class, playground, school, anything, anywhere), this baby and kids T-shirt is the greatest thing. It’s my new staple in my daughter’s wardrobe for the spring and summer seasons. It’s comfy, it’s classic. And it comes in 10 beautiful colors. Choose solids for when you just want to throw it on with whatever skirt, a pair of pants or leggings is within your grasp; stripes when they want to be a little bolder and you have time to choose the coordinating bottom. What more could you ask for in a  baby or kids shirt?

I called this shirt a staple in my daughter’s wardrobe and she corrected me. It’s not a staple. Because of the stripes, it’s more like a paperclip. Know it all. Now go get dressed.
