A Pant by Any Other Name Would Be as Sweet

Do you know what is interesting?  The history of clothing, that’s what.  Forget about sports stats, celebrity gossip, hunky vampire lovers and the latest movie of the week.  Fashion’s origins are far more compelling than any of the above. Did you know that the first version of the modern zipper was invited in 1891 by Whitcomb L. Judson? Go ahead and save that one for your next rainy day trivia game night!

Our favorite bit of history, however, is that overalls were first called “slops” back in the 18th century.  It seems fitting, I suppose, for at that time they were used to toiling the earth and working the land. Well, there is absolutely nothing sloppy about Mormor Nu’s Knitted Overalls made just for your baby boy.

These darling hand knitted overalls in a gorgeous shade (The color purple dates back to1600 B.C.E.!) are created with a merino wool and pima cotton blend making these overalls more resistant to fading, soft as soft can be an ideal for all year use keeping your babe warm in the winter and cool in the summer wicking away sweat.  Wow!  Our fashion history nerdiness is clearly showing. How do you stop this crazy thing?

The Mormor Nu’s Knitted Overalls also feature four buttons and plenty of stretches so that your boy can easily grow into them which is great since they’ll become your favorite and his.
