A Snail’s Pace

June 01, 2010

My daughter and I think a snail’s pace is something that is terribly underrated.  Who decided that fast was definitely the way to go?  Pish posh! Whether it is at work or play, we tend to lean towards the “patience is a virtue” school of thought.  Fast, faster, fastest is not all it is cracked up to be.  After all, the truly great things in life seem to take their time:  bread rises when it is good and ready, a baby grows for nine long months, celebrated and anticipated Halley’s Comet comes once every 75 years (2061 is all set in our calendars).  The world seems to be telling us, “Be slow and take your time!”

Forget life in the fast lane and warm up to the idea of taking it nice and easy by bringing this ideal to the next fun level with ImagiPLAY’s Kids’ Snail Puzzle Toy.  Let your little one work at a snail’s pace with this charming puzzle.  This ImagiPLAY piece is a hand-crafted puzzle which features an intricate snail design that encourages your young child to problem solve. Each colorful puzzle piece begins to coil and take shape as the snail comes together.  The look is rounded out with child-safe paints and environmentally friendly plantation-grown rubber wood.

This terrific puzzle is a bit tricky, so be sure to let your babe work slow.  Slow and steady wins the race, or so I’ve heard.  Let them enjoy working at a snail’s pace.  It’s about time we bring slow back in vogue.
