Mother Nature can’t decide what she wants.

I don’t know which one of you got on her bad side but clearly, she has been letting us have it.  “So, you say it hasn’t been hot enough, eh?” she asked with a wicked grin.  Well, she certainly showed us.  It has been hot with a capital H, as in “Honey, it is HOT!”  Just the other day, I was walking out of Balthazar after buying some of their ridiculously good chocolate bread — the kind with the dried cherries — and the woman with the stand that sells earrings just outside was packing up for the day. “Where are you going?” my daughter asked and she replied that her earrings were melting.  True story! Later that day, the temperature suddenly dropped a good ten degrees and it was almost pleasant out.
