Beat The Cold In Style With Toddler Leggings

Heading out the door the other day with my toddler in tow it occurred to me she looked more like a puffy pink marshmallow than a beautiful little girl. After all, cold days call for some drastic bending of the rules of fashion!

All bundled up in a winter jacket, complete with mittens, a hat and even snow pants, she might have doubled for a hockey goalie if pressed into action. When we arrived at our destination and I peeled off the layers, it struck me she didn’t look much better. While jeans certainly keep her warm, they sure defeat that cute baby doll look I generally go for with her ensembles.

That’s when a wiser mommy friend of mine stepped in to save the day. She recommended I give girls tights and leggings a try when the temperatures dip. I listened and I’m sure glad I did!

Thanks to the many styles, colors and thicknesses available, I’ve discovered I can have my cake and eat it, too. I don’t have to reserve designer baby clothes for warm days any more. When a warm pair of leggings or tights is matched with the right dress or blouse and a comfortable jacket, mittens, hat and scarf, the temperatures outside don’t get in the way of making sure my daughter’s look is spectacular.

Toddler leggings are simply adorable and they bring a few other benefits to the table that standard slacks just can’t compete with. Since tights and leggings are in and have been for little girls for a long time, they are the perfect accompaniment for any outfit – no matter how dressed up or down it happens to be. Plus, they are very easy to remove for those fast changes that are often necessary with little ones. Toddlers will be toddlers!

Estella’s designer leggings are absolutely the way to go. The higher quality cotton found in these designer toddler leggings breathes adding to my daughter’s comfort. Plus, the fit is spectacular even over a diaper. We don’t have to worry about unattractive bunching when the correct size is selected.

While I must admit I still take her out in the cold dressed like a marshmallow, she looks great when we arrive and I peel off those layers!
