For Jessica Lim, 32, a self-employed content creator from the picturesque landscapes of Hawaii, this holiday season is filled with dreams of creating new traditions for her baby girl.

“Growing up, I never experienced a traditional holiday with my family. We would understand the idea of what a certain holiday was but never really celebrated it,” Jessica shares. “With my new family, I want to share new traditions in which every year, every holiday would be something my child will look forward to and get super excited about. I want to bring our families closer together during these special moments by creating a joyous atmosphere.”

And while she relishes outdoor activities, travel, and arts and crafts, this year will be different. The focus? Crafting unforgettable memories for her baby's first holiday.

Anticipation and Dreams: As you approach your first holiday season with your baby, what are your dreams, hopes, or visions for this special time? How do you imagine introducing the magic of the holidays to your little one?

Growing up, I never experienced a traditional holiday with my family. We would understand the idea of what a certain holiday was but never really celebrated it. With my new family, I want to share new traditions in which every year, every holiday would be something my child will look forward to and get super excited about. I want to bring our families closer together during these special moments by creating a joyous atmosphere.

Definitely new traditions! I want to make each holiday special for my little one.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work and parenting that you'd be open to discussing?

Outdoor activities such as hiking, traveling, photography, and arts and crafts.

Lifestyle: Could you describe a typical day in your life, as much as you're at ease sharing?

Prior to having a baby, I was working full-time as a content creator on social media. Now with a newborn, I have decided to take a break and focus my time on raising my baby meanwhile, being able to take on projects.

What are some of your favorite family activities or places to visit? We'd love to hear any stories or recommendations you'd like to share.

My husband and I love traveling, and one destination in particular is Japan! We absolutely love to eat and sightsee, so Japan is a place we really love going back to time and time again.

Parenting Philosophy: If it resonates with you, do you have a parenting philosophy or approach you'd like to share?

Fun Fact: Since I am new to motherhood, I’d like to just instill on my child to always have and give kindness to others.
