I bought the hand-knit elephant rattle for a newborn whose parents love elephants, and though the baby is too young to play with it, she studies it with real interest. The toy is beautifully made and has a little heart embroidered on one leg. Its rattle is a bunch of beads inside the elephant’s tummy, and they make a pleasant sound when shaken. I imagine this item will be a great travel toy because of its compact size, safety and washability — not to mention its utter charm.
