Some might argue that I overdo the butterflies. Yes, my child’s nickname is The Bug. And yes, butterflies are usually my go-to decoration for her room, her backpack, her clothes. Ladybugs too. But mostly butterflies. What can I say? There are so many opportunities for cute butterfly decorations, I can’t help myself.
My little girl doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, she usually requests that I read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” every night. I’m thinking it’s because of the last page (spoiler: the caterpillar becomes a beautiful butterfly).
Her fascination with butterflies is why I’m so excited for the springtime. And why I was so excited to see this new sleeveless dress from Ketiketa. It adds just the perfect little flutter of feminine without the swarm that some overdone butterfly designs can create.
The subtle butterfly prints (only a few sprinkled here and there) almost create the illusion that these gentle creatures have landed on the dress, creating a sweet scene. The warm color and the lovely contrasting stitches across the neck and sleeves add a special touch.
As the warmer weather approaches and sundresses become the norm not the exception, my daughter and I are ready for an outdoor adventure. Butterfly net, check. Sunhats, check. We have everything we need. Now we just need the butterflies.
