Just In: Anais & I Girls Clothing

Anais is the luckiest toddler girl in the world. She grew up being dressed by her mom Jane D’Haene, the former head of an interior design firm and now, designer of Anais & I. From her diaper days, Anais has played the role of design consultant, fit model, and fashion critic. Who wouldn’t want to have a personal stylist since the day they’re born? No wonder the Anais & I line is so simple, chic, and easy to wear.

As you know, little girls can sometimes be very particular about their wardrobes, and Anais & I, in our opinion, understand that perfectly and doesn’t talk down to them. Instead of presenting the typical “princess pink” fare, D’Haene (and Anais) make sure little girls are dressed like the worldly sophisticates they are from Day 1.

Spring offerings from Anais & I at Estella include easy-breezy cotton play suits, tube dresses, ruffle halter dresses (all pictured above), as well as swing skirts. We are impartial to the Anais & Pink Ruffle Halter Dress, $98, for several reasons:

1. It puts a twist on that typically girly look by making it look more sporty with 100% cotton sweatshirt-type material, a racer back, and a loose, comfortable fit.

2. It’s locally produced in the Garment District in New York City, like all baby clothing by Anais & I.

3. The ruffle is cute and elegant, but not too frou-frou or frilly.

3. It’s pink! OK, we said it, we actually like pink.
